PRIVACY ShotList2 Privacy Policy
This policy describes how L'espace Vision Co., Ltd. ("we") handles personal information in the desktop app "ShotList2" and the included "ShotPlayer" (including the Microsoft Store, installer and Mac versions; together, "the App") and on this website.
1. Information the App sends
The App connects to the internet only to activate, verify or deactivate your license. At those times it sends only the following to the servers of Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), which manages our licenses (api.polar.sh):
- Your license key
- Our seller ID and the ID of the activated seat (an identifier issued by Polar)
- The seat name (a fixed string such as "ShotList2 Desktop (Windows)"; it does not include your user name or computer name)
- The App's name and version (to identify the connection)
As with any internet connection, your IP address reaches Polar.
2. Information the App does not send
- Your media, its contents, file names, folder paths or metadata
- Files you create with the App (xlsx, .shotlist, images, etc.)
- Usage history, usage statistics (telemetry), automatic error reports or advertising identifiers
Reading media, creating thumbnails and exporting all happen on your computer.
3. Information stored on your computer
The App stores its settings, logs and a license record (license key, seat ID, time of the last check, etc.) on your computer. To prevent the record from being copied to another computer, it includes a one-way hash calculated from a value that identifies the computer. This value is never sent anywhere. These records are removed when you uninstall the App or deactivate the license in the "License" window (settings files of the installer and Mac versions can also be deleted manually).
4. Purchases and trial keys
Subscriptions and free trial keys are obtained on the checkout pages of our reseller and Merchant of Record, Polar. Polar collects your name, email address and payment details and handles them under the Polar Privacy Policy. We never receive your credit card information.
We receive your name, email address, order details and license key issuance and status from Polar, and use them only to provide your license, answer your inquiries and meet legal obligations.
5. Inquiries
If you contact us by email, we use your email address, name and message only to reply and provide support.
6. This website
Only this website uses analytics. The App contains no analytics or advertising (see section 2).
This website (www.shot-list.com) uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used and improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies to send information such as the pages you view, the time of your visit, your approximate region and your browser and device type to Google. This information does not include your name or email address, and we do not use it to identify you. It is handled under the Google Privacy Policy. For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, it is used only with your consent. From any region, you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of each page. To stop this, decline in "Cookie settings", disable cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This website does not use advertising tags.
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard access logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site.
7. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law. Polar and Cloudflare, to whom we entrust the services above, handle information only within that scope.
8. Access, correction and deletion
To request access to, correction, suspension of use or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, contact [email protected]. We will respond in accordance with applicable law after verifying your identity.
9. Changes
We may revise this policy as the App or applicable laws change. When we do, we will update the version date on this page.
