Manual › Production add-on

Nuke integration PRODUCTION

PRODUCTION This feature requires the Production add-on (free for the first 14 days). In the trial or without the add-on, menu items show " (Production only)" and cannot be used.

From ShotList2 to Nuke

  1. Select clip rows in the list (or the Review BOX). You can select several.
  2. Right-click → "Copy for NUKE (node), NukeStudio, Hiero (bin)". In the Review BOX, Ctrl+Shift+C also copies.
  3. Paste.
    • Nuke: paste into the Node Graph to get one Read node per row, side by side.
    • NukeStudio / Hiero: select a bin and paste to import the clips.

What goes into a Read node

Rows whose media is missing can still be copied (they show as red Read nodes in Nuke).

Formats Nuke cannot read (HEVC, R3D NE, N-RAW, Phantom Cine, monochrome ARRIRAW, etc.) still produce Read nodes but will not open in Nuke. Nuke 14.1 / 15.1 cannot read ProRes RAW or X-OCN.

From Nuke to ShotList2

From the File menu, you can turn Nuke media into a list.

Menu What it reads
"Paste and Import from NUKE (node), NukeStudio, Hiero (bin)..." Choose it after selecting nodes in Nuke and pressing Ctrl+C, or copying clips in a NukeStudio / Hiero bin
"Import from Nuke Script (.nk)..." The Read nodes in a .nk file. Dropping a .nk file onto the window does the same
"Import from NukeStudio / Hiero Timeline (.otio / .xml)..." An exported OTIO or Final Cut Pro 7 XML. Files exported from DaVinci Resolve also work

In the import window, choose the following and click "Import":

The window shows "Media to import: n" and "Missing media: n (will not be imported)". Only files that exist are imported, and nodes other than Read nodes are ignored.
