Troubleshooting
Drag and drop does not work
On Windows, if ShotList2 is started with "Run as administrator", Windows blocks drag and drop from File Explorer. Start it normally.
Single images are not listed
By default, single stills that are not part of a sequence are not listed. Turn off Settings → "Import" → "Exclude image files that are not part of a sequence" (Import).
Thumbnails are dark or the colors look wrong
- For selected rows, adjust brightness and exposure from the right-click menu (Editing the list).
- If log footage looks flat, right-click → "Color Space" and choose the right log (Color and HDR).
Images do not show in Excel (#VALUE!)
An xlsx from "Export xlsx" (Excel mode) shows images only in Excel 365 (2023 or later). For older Excel, export with "Export xlsx (compatible)" (Export). If it will not open in Excel for the web or Google Sheets, split it into smaller files (Splitting files).
Keys do not work
An app running in the background (such as screen-sharing software) may be catching the keys first. Quit that app and try again.
Cut detection cannot be selected
It is not available for image sequences, stills or rows already split into cuts. Select a video row.
Media cannot be found
Moving the media folder makes rows show as missing. Right-click → "Relink Media Folder..." and choose the new location (.shotlist files).
The license cannot be activated
"Connection check..." on the "License Activation..." screen tests the connection. For company network settings and more, see Troubleshooting in the FAQ.
